Success at the Master Builders House of the Year Awards for Queenstown Builders – Gold Award and Category Winner for Bennie Builders.
This year we entered 73 Hallenstein Street in the Multi Unit Category of the Master Builders House of the Year awards. This was a new category and unlike other categories was open to any construction companies. Normally entry into these awards is limited to members of Registered Master Builders. This new direction was an excellent opportunity for us to be measured against anyone in the industry and not just other members.
The entries in each category are judged by the same judges across New Zealand. This ensures consistency throughout the country i.e. a Gold Award presented in Queenstown represents the same high standard as a Gold Award presented in Auckland or New Plymouth.
Each entry is judged and marked out of a possible 2,000 points. Bronze is awarded to entrants achieving at least 1,500 points or 75% of the points available. Silver is awarded to entrants achieving at least 1,650 points or 82.5% of the points available. Gold is awarded to entrants achieving at least 1800 points or 90% of the points available. The gold awards are then assessed against each other and the top points s corer out of the gold awards is then awarded category winner.
We were delighted that our hard work was rewarded with a gold award and category winner.
The awards were announced at a Gala Evening last Saturday held up at the Skyline Queenstown. It was a fantastic evening and a great opportunity to celebrate our success with some of our team, suppliers and clients. Have a look at the photos to see some images of the evening. As category winner we will now be heading up to Auckland for the National Awards evening in November.
